Established in September, 2004, LONMARK Americas became the first association to join the LONMARK International (LMI) global affiliate network.  The organization currently has over 150 members representing industry leaders in the controls and automation industry including manufacturers, integrators and users of control systems

LONMARK Americas Mission:

To enhance the success of our members through the education and advocacy of LONMARK Open Systems.

LONMARK Americas Purpose: 

To promote the integration of open, multi-vendor control systems utilizing ANSI/EIA/CEA 709.1 and related standards.

LONMARK Membership:
Membership is open to any manufacturer, distributor, system integrator, engineer, or end-user committed to the development and use of open, interoperable products using utilizing ANSI/EIA/CEA 709.1 and related standards. 

Members in LONMARK Americas represent a who’s who in the controls and automation industry and as the organization continues to grow, so does the value of membership.  A key benefit is that when you join LONMARK Americas you receive automatic membership in LONMARK International and access to it's other global affiliates. 

LONMARK International:

Formerly known as the LONMARK Association, LONMARK International (LMI), has thrived as an unincorporated organization since 1994 until 2004 when the organization incorporated as a international mutual benefit corporation. Over the past nine years, the organization of 300 member companies have created over 60 functional profiles and over certified 600 interoperable products.

Thousands of LONMARK certified products are installed in commercial buildings, buses, mass transit systems, industrial plants and other environments worldwide.

LONMARK International was created to embrace the changing needs of its members and compete more effectively in the global marketplace. The organization consists of regional LONMARK affiliates worldwide.  Global affiliates allow LONMARK International to focus on the advancement of the technology, continue to certify interoperable products and support each affiliate in develop ing their local markets.  For example, LONMARK Americas focus is to support the local needs of LONMARK members with marketing and networking opportunities, educational programs and certification programs, regional chapters, industry trends, legal and regulatory issues, etc.
