Overview
LONMARK Americas (LMA) is the North American affiliate of LONMARK International and exists to promote the success of its members through education and advocacy of intelligent, interoperable, and open control systems and advance the business of efficient and effective integration of open, multi-vendor control systems utilizing ISO/IEC and related standards.
Established in September 2004, LONMARK Americas became the first association to join the LONMARK International (LMI) global affiliate network. LMA has more than 180 members representing industry leaders in the controls and automation industry including manufacturers, integrators, and users of control systems.
Mission
To enhance the success of our members through the education and advocacy of LONMARK Open Systems.
Purpose
Assist our members to be successful in their business through the promotion of the EIA 709 standards (LonMark/LonWorks).
Key Objectives
- To become the global standard for open, interoperable network systems and lay the foundation for energy effiency and sustainable buildings and environments
- To facilitate the seamless connectivity of products and systems from different vendors into a cohesive solution
- To provide a forum fordiscussion, networking and professional development relating to open systems
- To provide marketing tools and opportunities for members to promote their products and services to the industry
- To liaise with other industry organizations sharing common interests for open systems

LonMark Americas members are manufacturers, distributors, system integrators, engineers, and end-users committed to the development and use of open, interoperable products using utilizing ISO/IEC 14908-1 and related standards.
Members of LonMark Americas represent a who’s who in the controls and automation industry, and as the organization continues to grow, so does the value of membership.
LMA Member Directory
LonMark Americas is governed by a member-elected board of directors, all of whom are active members in the organization and have a passion for energy efficienct building design based on an open philosophy. Board members serve two-year terms, and as such are national representatives of the LonMark community.
